Museum Director Ian Brodie has just returned from a two week visit to the United Kingdom commentating at the Biggin Hill Air Fair and the Kemble Air Day.
Whilst there he had the pleasure of meeting two of the current Eurofighter Typhoon pilots. Flight Lieutenant Charlie Matthews from Wanaka is this years RAF Typhoon Display Pilot, assisted by Flight Lieutenant Shane (Whitey) Harrison from Nelson. It was a wonderful Kiwi opportunity for Ian and Whitey to commentate the Typhoon flown by Charlie.
Watch for a full article in a forthcoming issue of Pacific Wings Magazine with some exclusive air to air shots taken by another Kiwi in the RAF - Mike (Jorgo) Jorgenson. In the meantime have a look at the new gallery of the Biggin Hill and Kemble Airshows.
